Mature Height and Width:

Growth Habit:
Upright, narrow ornamental tree with strong vertical structure. Typically trained to a single trunk or small multi-stem form. Canopy develops a columnar to narrow oval outline with ascending primary branches. Moderate to vigorous growth rate.

Foliage Description:
Deep burgundy to near-black foliage throughout the growing season. Leaves elliptic with smooth margins. New growth emerges very dark and retains strong contrast against lavender blooms. Dense canopy but with visible vertical branch structure.

Flower Description:
Upright terminal panicles of soft lavender to medium violet crinkled flowers. Panicles moderately large and well-defined, positioned above dark foliage. Bloom clusters structured and upright rather than loose and drooping.

Foliage may shift to deeper maroon tones before leaf drop in cooler climates.
