Collards
Collard greens are part of the cabbage family and grow in a loose, open cluster rather than forming a tight head. They produce large, dark green edible leaves with smooth surfaces and gently ruffled edges. Plants grow on an upright stalk that can reach up to 3 feet tall. Collards have a flavor similar to kale but are milder in taste, and they can be steamed, boiled, or added to soups and stews.
