Chili Pepper
Chili peppers are compact plants that produce medium-thick, mildly spicy fruits, reaching up to 8 inches long. Starting bright green and ripening to red, these flavorful peppers are packed with vitamins A and C and add a gentle heat of 2,500–8,000 Scoville units to any dish. To keep plants healthy and productive, mulch to retain moisture and reduce weeds, prune regularly, and top to encourage a bushy structure. Companion planting with basil, marigolds, nasturtiums, or spinach supports growth, improves soil health, and naturally deters pests.
