San Marzano Tomato
San Marzano is a classic heirloom Roma tomato, cultivated in the traditional Italian way. It produces 3½–4 inch fruits, ideal for sauces, canning, or fresh cooking. With thick, tender flesh, a sweet, rich flavor, and fewer seeds than most tomatoes, these deep red fruits offer all the iconic Roma taste you expect. Indeterminate and highly productive, they grow best in rich, well-drained soil from late summer to frost, thriving with staking or a trellis, and light pruning helps boost yields. Harvest when the fruit is slightly soft for the best flavor.
