Roma Tomato
Roma tomatoes are a widely loved, bush-type variety that produces firm, meaty, plum-shaped fruits—ideal for sauces, pastes, and canning due to their low moisture content and minimal seeds. These plants are naturally resistant to common wilts like Fusarium and Verticillium and thrive in full sun with rich, well-drained soil and consistent watering. For best results, provide support with stakes or cages, fertilize when the first fruits appear to encourage higher yields, mulch to conserve soil moisture, and prune to the main stem plus two or three strong side branches. Companion planting with marigolds, chives, or garlic can help protect against pests naturally.
